2019 Charger Golf Tournament Raises Landmark $37,000 for Healthy Fathers and Families
TORONTO, ON – (October 23, 2019) The Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF) received a major contribution from the Charger Foundation 2019 Golf Tournament, with $37,000 donated in support of unique programs aimed at reducing suicide among men at high-risk and building strong father-child relationships.
“We are grateful for these critical funds provided by the Charger Foundation, in particular Chairman Louis Sapi and staff Sonia Vaknin, Zarah Dehnashi, Teresa Sapi and Samantha Sapi,” said CCMF Executive Director Justin Trottier. Over the course of four annual events, Charger has contributed a total of $87,000 to programs that improve men’s health, help young men become better fathers, and ensure services are available for men who are experiencing domestic abuse.
“We have seen the transformation that the agency has provided to families that often have no other place to turn to,” said Chairman Louis Sapi. “We are proud to partner with the Canadian Centre for Men and Families to bring hope and healing to hundreds of families in our community.”
The 15th Annual Charger Foundation Charitable Golf Tournament took place on June 18, 2019 with support from title sponsors Carpenters Union Local 27 and InStore Group, Hole-in-One sponsor Pfaff and Official Event Sponsor and Major Donor HS & Partners LLP. The event was emceed by Roger Petersen of CityTV.
